FyfeWeb is proud to announce that we have officially joined the London Internet Exchange (LINX), not only as a member but as a reseller partner, marking a major milestone in our mission to deliver high-performance, resilient connectivity and hosting solutions. LINX is one of the world’s largest and most respected Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), enabling networks to interconnect and exchange traffic efficiently.

Our LINX deployment:

  • 100GE Port at LON1: FyfeWeb has deployed a 100 Gigabit Ethernet port at LINX’s primary London location (LON1), providing substantial capacity for traffic exchange and future growth, as well as enabling us to offer LINX ports, peering services and more to customers anywhere on-net.
  • Presence at LON2: We have also established connectivity at LINX’s secondary London peering LAN (LON2), ensuring redundancy and improved network resilience.
  • Peering: Our network is now actively peering with over 600 different networks, including major ISPs, content providers, and cloud platforms.

Colin Peckham, Interconnection Specialist for LINX said "We are excited to welcome FyfeWeb to LINX not only as a member themselves but as a new ConneXions Reseller Partner. They have a new and fast evolving UK network and we are privileged that LINX is part of their success and future growth for the North.”

Jaden, Technical Director at FyfeWeb also stated "Joining LINX has always been a long-term goal of ours since we started building our own network over 5 years ago. We're gaining access to hundreds of direct peers, as well as gaining the ability to offer LINX services in any of our on-net data centres around the UK as a ConneXions partner."

Connor, Operations Director, added “Joining and partnering with the London Internet Exchange has been one of the things at the top of our list for some time. That combined with FyfeWeb being one of only several networks offering London-based LINX services in the North East, this really enables us to help current and future customers to thrive and reap the rewards of LINX.”

What joining LINX means for our customers and partners:

  • Lower latency & improved routing: Direct peering reduces transit dependency, optimises routing paths, and improves speed and responsiveness.
  • High-capacity: 100Gb connectivity enables FyfeWeb to handle high traffic volumes, supporting bandwidth-intensive applications and services.
  • Ultimate flexibility: As a LINX ConneXions Partner, FyfeWeb can now facilitate LINX membership and connectivity for other networks in any of our 6 UK-based data centres, from Newcastle upon Tyne to Wolverhampton, delivered over our MPLS backbone network.

This expansion reflects FyfeWeb’s vision of building robust, scalable network infrastructure that meets the demands of our hosting and connectivity clients for many years to come.
